With so many iconic franchises on PlayStation, it’s easy to forget that dozens of incredible games have been left in the past. Yet many of these forgotten PlayStation games still have cult followings—and deserve a second chance through remakes, sequels, or at least re-releases. Revisiting them could revive genres and satisfy long-time fans.

One example is Syphon Filter, a stealth-action series that once competed with Metal Gear Solid. With tense missions and tactical apk slot gameplay, it carved out its own niche. Fans have long requested a reboot, especially since modern technology could bring its tense stealth mechanics and narrative flair to life again.

PSP-exclusive games also suffered from being tied to a single platform. Resistance: Retribution, a third-person shooter spin-off of the popular PS3 series, had excellent level design and storytelling. A remastered version could easily find a home on PlayStation 5 or as part of a subscription service.

Other lesser-known gems like The Getaway, Ape Escape, and Heavenly Sword offered creative ideas and strong gameplay but never reached sequel status. Their return could diversify the modern PlayStation catalog and appeal to players craving something different.

Bringing these forgotten PlayStation games back could add fresh excitement to the brand while honoring the innovative spirit that helped build the PlayStation legacy.
